Peter is one of life's great inspirations - a man whose passion for wine knows no limits. If we were into qualifications at the Secret HQ we'd probably tell you that Peter has been voted UK Sommelier of the Year, and that he was the youngest winner of the Moet & Chandon scholarship. We'd probably also tell you about his other scholarships and that for 20 years he ran a restaurant in Harrogate famed across the region for its wine list. But we're not into gongs and qualifications so we won't mention any of that. We'll just tell you that if there's a finer wine expert in the UK today then we'll eat our Fedoras.

Yorkshire born and bred, Jane belies her roots in the dales with a truly international palate and a degree in Russian Geography (no, we don't know why either!). New or old world, Jane has a gift for uncovering spectacular wines that hit all the right notes time and again. Jane's speciality? It has to be those finding those everyday wines that punch so far above their weight that you think you've pulled something from the 'special occasions' rack!

Pat brings more than a touch of class to Secret HQ. A long standing passion for fine wine and a finesse for honing in on the star of the show way before the rest of us, Pat keeps us on our toes. You always know that when Pat has found something that hits the spot, we won't hear the end of it!

Secret HQ wouldn't be complete without Alfie. More interested in marrow than merlot, Alfie makes the place his own, his big eyes always waiting excitedly to dash out the back for a good run about. Jet black and beautiful, Alfie strikes fear into any potential thief afraid of being licked to death.
