One of the great misfortunes of wine is that it’s just not that easy to shift. We take every care to make sure your order gets to you quickly and in perfect condition, but it’s a big old job.
Firstly a case of wine is heavy and fragile. These aren’t words that couriers particularly like, but we’ve found that the guys at Fedex understand them better than all the others, so we send everything by FedEx. It means we have nationwide (mainland) coverage and we can get your order to you quickly with the minimum of fuss.
Fedex will deliver to you Monday to Friday and will try up to three times if you’re out. Your wine will need to be signed for (well, we can’t have any old Tom, Dick or Harriot nicking off with your bounty!) so please don’t ask us to leave it in the Garden Shed. We’d be happy to, but the FedEx man gets hot under the collar if we ask for that.
We send your wine in a special protective box to keep it safe. If anything breaks in transit, just let us know and we’ll happily replace it for you.
It costs us quite a lot to send wine by courier, but we subsidise every order, so you pay just £5.99 (including packaging it cost us more than twice that!) We wish it could be free delivery but the accountant nearly blew a circuit when we suggested that…
